The NTSA-Director Advocacy & Outreach 2023-2024

As I prepare to embark on a new chapter beyond UCSD, I am filled with gratitude for the journey I've experienced as a non-traditional student. Despite all the barriers and challenges I have had to overcome to get to this point, I do not believe I would be the same person I am today without those experiences. Looking back, my time at UCSD has been a tapestry of highs and lows, but through it all, I have emerged stronger and more resilient.

My advice for future non-traditional students comes from the lessons I've learned along the way. Embrace discomfort and challenge yourself to step outside your comfort zone. Whether it's participating in campus events or organization, pursuing internships, or engaging with professors during office hours, make the most of your time here. Building meaningful connections and cultivating a network can genuinely improve your personal and professional well-being. And yes, I know that is harder said than done, that is why I also encourage you to ask for help or advice when you need it. That said, my DMs are open to anyone who needs it! Finally, as you embark on your own journey, remember that as non-trad students, your resilience and determination are some of your greatest assets. Also, one more reminder, you 1000% deserve to be here! Here's to the next chapter and all the adventures it holds.
